Business Visa

A Business Visa is issued to individuals who need to conduct financial transactions, sign contracts, attend training sessions or meetings, or engage in various activities related to their profession or business from their home country. It is important to note that employment in the host country is prohibited under a business visa. This type of visa allows for commerce and financial activities but does not permit permanent employment, which would require a work visa.

The Business Visa is granted to foreign nationals who wish to visit India to establish or explore the possibilities of setting up an industrial or business venture. It also applies to those who want to purchase or sell industrial products within the country.

Eligible for a Business Visa are:

Foreign Nationals attending consultations related to exhibitions, trade fairs, business fairs, or participating in such events in India.

Foreign Buyers visiting India to conduct business with suppliers or potential suppliers. This includes evaluating or monitoring product quality, giving specifications, placing orders, and negotiating further supplies of goods or services from India.

Foreign Experts or Specialists on short visits in connection with ongoing projects. Their objective may include monitoring project progress, conducting meetings with Indian clients, or providing high-level technical guidance.

Foreign Nationals involved in pre-sales or post-sales activities in India, provided these activities do not involve the actual execution of any contract or project.
